Holding a PhD in Modern French Literature, Eliane Bou Dagher taught and then coordinated in six schools including a technical school in Bikfaya. Convinced that the theoretical background acquired was not enough to teach and meet the different needs of learners, she built her own working method which she gradually enriched with the different generations with whom she worked. To develop her teaching practices, she drew tools from different resources: mental management according to Antoine de la Garanderie, socio-cognitive conflict according to Piaget, multiple intelligences according to Howard Gardner and neuroscience, the pyramid of needs according to Maslow, the management of emotions, stress, time, non-violent communication and the ESPERE method against the SAPPE system as well as relational dynamics according to Jacques Salomé, transactional analysis according to Eric Berne, the drama triangle according to Karpman...
Alongside school teaching, she gave courses at the Faculty of Letters of the Lebanese University and at the Faculties of Science and Medicine of Saint-Joseph University in Beirut. She was also responsible for the training of DOPS teachers in Zahle and contributed to the training of students in French literature who wanted to go into teaching.
Driven by this concern for transmission, she designed a protocol for the teaching of French language and literature with educational materials and evaluation sheets.
Responsible for the archives and library at the Charles Corm Foundation, she organizes guided tours, reading and writing workshops as well as meetings with school groups and university students.
