Applicants for the Master in Translation must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any field (Arabic literature, English literature, translation, language, media, sociology, business etc.) from an accredited university in the UAE.
English proficiency:
Students wishing to enroll must undergo an English proficiency test prepared by the School of Translation in Dubai and obtain at least thirteen over twenty on this test. Shall be exempt from the English language test, students who successfully passed the following exams:
Arabic proficiency:
USJ Placement Test:
- Applicants wishing to enroll must undergo an Arabic proficiency test prepared by the School of Translation in Dubai and obtain at least thirteen over twenty (13/20).
- Applicants who have earned a Bachelor degree that was taught in Arabic are exempted from the Arabic Placement Test.
- Applicants who do not meet the required level in the language test (Arabic or English) will be considered for Conditional Admission.
Applicants shall enroll in a half credit basis in the first semester. By the end of the first semester, the student must obtain the required scores in the language tests before being able to continue further into the degree.

All applicants shall provide the following documents to apply for the Master in Translation:
- Applicants who earned their undergraduate degrees from universities outside the UAE must present Certificate of Equivalency for their graduation certificates from the UAE Ministry of Education’s Higher Education Affairs Division.
Fees
Registration fees of 1575 AED inclusive of 5% VAT(nonrefundable)
Language placement tests (if applicable):
- English test: 400 AED (inclusive of 5% VAT)
- Arabic test: 400 (inclusive of 5% VAT)
