    USJ Choir

Auditions

All new candidates are invited to take part in a simple audition to assess pitch matching, voice timbre, as well as decide what section of the choir you will sing in.

    

Audition process

  1. The entire process will take about 5 to 10 minutes
  2. Don’t worry, there is nothing to prepare!
  3. Candidates will be asked to sing a short vocal exercise, which the conductor will demonstrate on spot.
  4. Optional: candidates can chose to sing a short excerpt from a song of their choice that demonstrates their vocal abilities.

Requirements

We look for a pleasant singing voice and basic musicality. Sight reading or knowledge in music is not a requirement, but certainly a plus!
 

How to apply for an audition

  1. Fill out the online application form.
  2. Chose a time slot.
  3. Show up to the audition on the date of your chosen time slot and kindly wait for your turn.

Results: You will receive the results of the audition by email within a week of your audition.
