The Center for collaborative research initiatives in public health has several key objectives that align with the mission and vision of the ISSP and USJ, as well as the broader goals of public health research and practice, such as:
1.1. Conduct cutting-edge research to generate new knowledge about public health challenges, epidemiology, disease prevention, health promotion, etc.
2. Develop the skills and capacities of researchers, public health professionals and communities to improve their capacity to effectively address health challenges and contribute to improving the health of the population.
3. Promote collaboration between national, regional and international experts from various fields to comprehensively address complex health problems.
4. Inform evidence-based policies by conducting research that can guide policymakers in developing effective public health strategies and interventions.
5. Engage with communities, stakeholders and marginalized groups to understand their health needs, engage them in research and ensure that interventions are culturally appropriate and accessible.
6. Explore and use technological advances and innovative solutions to improve public health outcomes.
7. Facilitate the translation of research findings into feasible strategies, programs and interventions that can be implemented in real-world settings.
8. Provide educational opportunities, training programs and awareness initiatives to raise awareness, disseminate knowledge and enable individuals and communities to make informed health decisions.
