Rev. Fr. Brian Paulson, SJ, is the President of the Jesuit Conference of Canada and the United States, where he oversees common projects on behalf of the provincials. Prior to this role, he served as Provincial of the USA Midwest Province, as President of Saint Ignatius College Prep in Chicago, and as Rector of the Loyola University Chicago Jesuit Community.
Fr. Paulson earned a B.S.F.S. degree in international economics from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in Washington, D.C. before joining the Jesuits in 1981. He holds an M.A. in Philosophy from Loyola University Chicago, an S.T.B. from Faculté Loyola Paris, an S.T.L. from the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry, and an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
He currently serves on the boards of America Media and the Jesuit Refugee Service-USA.
