Abou Khater Amphitheater of Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ) resonated with the rhythm of inspiration and motivation. More than 600 people attended the conference of Lana Medawar, journalist, storyteller and entrepreneur, on “How to Achieve Your Dream?”, in the presence of Prof. Salim Daccache, S.J, Rector of USJ. This event, organized by the Student Information and Orientation Office (SIO) in collaboration with the Student Life Office, was a real success. With her natural charisma and her storytelling talent, Lana Medawar captivated the audience with her journey and the lessons she learned from her experience in the media and storytelling world. She had a clear message: nothing is impossible when you believe in yourself and dare to dream big. The students and participants were deeply moved by her authenticity and her inspiring vision. Some even had the opportunity to interact with her during an enriching exchange, further enhancing the impact of her speech. This conference is part of her ongoing commitment shown through her show 'Nothing is Impossible' and her storytelling academy, where she shares stories of hope and resilience. Trainings on "Leadership and Orientation in the Age of Artificial Intelligence": A Positive Assessment and Promising ProspectsThe Student Information and Orientation Office (SIO), in collaboration with the Professional Training Center (CFP) and the Regional Campuses of the Saint Joseph University de Beirut (USJ), organized training sessions on the theme “Leadership and Orientation in the Artificial Intelligence Era”. The sessions were highly successful, reaffirming USJ’s commitment to supporting education professionals in adopting innovative technologies and opening new perspectives for the future of orientation in Lebanon. The training sessions brought together school principals, orientation counselors and secondary school coordinators from both public and private schools. Adel Nassar graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Private and Public Law from the Faculty of Law and Political Science (FDSP) of the Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ) in 1987. He subsequently obtained a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Private and Public Law from the Paris Panthéon-Assas University, as well as a Master of Law from Harvard University in the United States. Registered in the bars of Beirut and Paris, he played a key role in the drafting of the Lebanese draft law on oil and gas and contributed to the work of the parliamentary commission on the modernization of the Commercial Code. His experience covers various fields, particularly Arbitration, Banking, Construction, as well as Corporate and Commercial Law and Finance. He is also member of the boards of directors of several companies, including major multinational insurance companies. He represented Lebanon at the International Chamber of Commerce Commission on Arbitration for three years. Author of numerous legal publications specializing in International Arbitration, Commercial Law and Investor Protection, his works are regularly published in specialized journals.
