ESMOD Beirut – in partnership with USJ since 2017 – is part of a network of 19 schools established in 13 countries, fostering enriching exchanges for both teachers and students. All schools offer a shared training foundation tailored to local culture and market needs.

ESMOD has been providing training in Fashion Design and Pattern Drafting for over 180 years in Paris, and for 24 years in Beirut. It is the combination of these two disciplines that gives the methodology its added value, providing graduates with unparalleled technical and creative expertise. After three years of study in Lebanon, students earn a bachelor's degree but can continue their studies within the ESMOD group or at other universities abroad by submitting their portfolios. ESMOD Beirut also offers a range of short courses tailored to market needs, primarily targeting fashion professionals.

ESMOD Beirut is fully committed to the professional integration of its graduates, thanks to the extensive network of partners developed since its inception. According to a recent study, the vast majority of alumni find employment after earning their degrees. Career opportunities are diverse, allowing each student to choose a path that aligns with their talents.

“Affinity Prepaid Card” program

The Federation of Alumni Associations of Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ)
launches the “Affinity Prepaid Card” program, in partnership with Visa.

In celebration of the 150th anniversary of Saint-Joseph University of Beirut, the Federation of Alumni Associations of USJ, in partnership with VISA, the global leader in digital payments, is launching the “Affinity Prepaid Card” program. This initiative offers a wide range of advantages and exclusive features. The card will be exclusively designed, highlighting the University’s 150th anniversary logo, allowing its holder to support the Federation’s commitment programs and provide financial support to students, with no extra fees.

“We are very proud of this partnership between the Federation and VISA. Our alumni are the pillars of our University, they play an essential role in supporting USJ, spreading its reputation worldwide and building a global network connected to Lebanon”, said Prof. Salim Daccache, s.j, Rector of Saint Joseph University of Beirut.

The launch of the Prepaid Card program for the USJ Alumni marks an important milestone in the University’s long and rich history. With this collaboration with VISA and BLOM, the Federation of Alumni Associations of USJ continues to strengthen the bond between the Alumni and the University, while offering substantial advantages and contributions to the community.

Webinar: “How to Deal with Post-War Trauma?”

Organized by the Student Information and Orientation Office (SIO), in collaboration with the USJ Counseling Office

The Saint Joseph University of Beirut continues to showcase its unwavering commitment towards young people and their families by taking pertinent initiatives, addressing current challenges.

A webinar called “How to Deal with Post-War Trauma?”, organized by the Student Information and Orientation Office, in collaboration with the USJ Counseling Office, took place on December 10, 2024.

This webinar specifically targeted secondary school students, their parents, as well as academic coordinators, featuring two clinical psychologists: Melissa Zeinoun and Sammy-Joe Jabbour.

  1. Melissa Zeinoun’s Intervention (5 :30pm – 6pm)
    This intervention, delivered in both English and Arabic, focused on how to build resilience after trauma and, how to effectively manage the transition to university life. Melissa Zeinoun, member of the Lebanese Order of Psychologists, shared her experience in cognitive and emotional techniques on how to:
    • Strengthen emotional resilience in young people
    • Teach strategies that promote mental well-being
    • Provide practical tools to balance personal and academic lives
  2. Sammy-Joe Jabbour’s Intervention (6pm – 6:30pm)
    Delivered in both French and Arabic, Sammy-Joe focused on how to recognize and treat invisible traumas. Her goal was to:
    • Raise awareness on the impact of post-war trauma
    • Help the participants identify the symptoms and effects of post-traumatic experiences
    • Propose practical strategies to manage stress and regain emotional balance.

This webinar is a call for hope and resilience, a reminder that, even in times of crisis, solutions can be found to rebuild the mental and emotional health of future generations.

Described by Forbes as the “the female innovator who is redefining investment between Europe and the Middle East”, this ambitious entrepreneur founded WealthRise in 2018, a company that embodies an innovative vision of wealth management, combining deep expertise in wealth creation with a refined understanding of both Eastern and Western cultures. With her Lebanese roots and the experience she gained in France, Racha Mezher has established a strategic bridge between Middle Eastern and European financial markets, offering adapted solutions to investors seeking to align financial growth and personal values.

To be mentioned in Forbes is to join a community of emblematic figures; a true testament to success, remarkable accomplishments, and significant impact.

Racha Mezher obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics in 2005, followed by a Master in Actuarial and Financial Sciences in 2007 from the USJ Faculty of Science. These diplomas, earned with distinction, laid the solid foundation for her professional career.
