The "USJ Academy" free certification program: Training, supporting, and inspiring tomorrow's leadersStaying true to its educational mission and its commitment to Lebanese youth, Saint Joseph University of Beirut has once again reaffirmed its leading role in shaping the generations of tomorrow. Through its “USJ Academy” initiative, the university delivered, in January 2026, a series of free certified training sessions for beneficiaries of the Rector Magis Scholarship. Led by the Student Information and Orientation Service (SIO) and the Career and Placement Office (SIP), and supported by the Haddad Foundation through the USJ Foundation, this initiative reflected a clear ambition: to go beyond financial assistance to support students by investing in their skills, self-confidence, and future. Over the course of two days, on January 24 and 31, 2026, across USJ campuses, participants took part in an interactive and hands-on program designed to meet the demands of today’s academic and professional world. Four key themes were addressed: decision-making, communication and public speaking, artificial intelligence and innovation, as well as e-commerce and digital entrepreneurship. Through these sessions, USJ emphasized the development of core skills, now essential in an ever-evolving world. Participants were encouraged to analyze real-life situations, strengthen their communication abilities, explore the potential of artificial intelligence in problem-solving, and discover the fundamentals of creating digital projects. Beyond its academic content, the initiative also provided participants with an opportunity to experience university life, build meaningful connections, and gain clearer understanding of their future academic journeys. It provided a space for exchange, reflection, and forward-looking perspectives. ![]()
