Melissa Greck, in charge of mobility and communication at USJ’s international relations office, participated in the 13th International Staff Training Week of the University of Granada (UGR) that took place from 26 to 30 November 2018. The training also gathered colleagues from Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Bolivia, Cambodia, El Salvador, Georgia, Guatemala, India, Lebanon, Libya, Montenegro, Morocco, Moldova, Palestine, Russia, Serbia, Thailand, Tunisia, and Ukraine.
The main objective of the program was to provide a platform for the exchange of good practices, expertise and know-how and to explore issues such as:
The five-day program started with an engaging workshop titled “Spanish Survival Kit” then included plenary sessions, round tables/workshops and many presentations mainly focusing on international relations and mobility such as language policies, selection procedures, before/during/after mobilities, calls for applications, dissemination and promotion, recognition processes etc.
During this staff training week, participants took part in different activities, including visits to the Entrepreneurship Centre, one of the schools of Building Engineering (Campus Fuentenueva) and UGR’s most emblematic buildings and monuments such as the Hospital Real which is the XVI century building (that is now the seat of the Rectorate of the University) and the fascinating “Parque de las Ciencias” (Science Museum). A string quartet concert by the Orchestra of the University of Granada marked the final day of the training week.
