In addition, Europhotonics has merged with the POESII Master of Photonics and will now be also funded by the AMIDEX foundation.
The other partners of POESII-Europhotonics are: Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Karlsruhe School of Optics (KSOP) in Germany, Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (UPC), Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO), Universitat de Barcelona (UB), Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB) in Spain, University of Vilnius, Lithuania.
Grants for the Master (2 years) can offer to students from all over the world very interesting opportunities to follow high level courses in the partner institutions and to obtain very high level diplomas (multiple diploma scheme).
The Master program is accessible to Bachelor (or equivalent) students willing to acquire a specialization in nanophotonics, biophotonics, optical engineering, laser optics, optics for astronomy, advanced imaging, quantum optics.
All the courses are taught in English.
The amount of the grants is between 9 600 €/year and 12 000 €/year + possible funding for installation expenses. The students are selected for their academic level, quality of University of origin and their motivation.
The application deadline is fixed on March 1st, 2016, for the next edition that will start in September 2016
