U.S. Embassy: MEPI Student Leaders program for summer 2016
Once again, the outstanding Student Leaders Program which is sponsored by the Department of State’s Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) is open to students who are Lebanese and long-term Palestinian residents between 20 and 24 years.
The Program allows students from Lebanon and the Middle East to spend six weeks in summer 2016 at a U.S. university developing leadership and collective problem-solving skills while exploring U.S. history and culture and acquiring leadership skills to help promote democratic principles in their home countries.
The program will take place from June 26 to August 5, 2016 and all costs will be covered by the U.S. Government including:
- roundtrip airplane ticket,
- lodging,
- meals and miscellaneous expenses.

The application submission deadline is January 8, 2016 at noon and applications can be sent to BeirutPD@state.gov.
