Undergraduate Exchange program in the U.S
U.S. Embassy Beirut is pleased to announce the 2015-2016 Near East and South Asia Undergraduate Exchange (NESA) Program which offers an excellent opportunity for students to spend a full academic semester enrolled in an undergraduate program in the United States.
Students will take an American studies course and engage in community service and cultural activities.
NESA participants attend full-time accredited U.S. universities and colleges and enroll in academic courses, including an American studies course, live with American roommates on a university/college campus, and participate in community service and professional development activities and cultural presentations.
Students in their first, second and third-year of undergraduate studies are eligible to apply.
Applicants should be at least one undergraduate semester from completing their studies at university after the end of the program in May 2016, and between 18-25 years as of January 1, 2016.
All expenses will be covered by the U.S. Department of State and will include:
- university tuition (including books and materials),
- roundtrip international airfare,
- meals and lodging,
- health insurance and other allowances.
The deadline to submit online applications and required documents is Friday February 27, 2015.
This is a non-degree program. Students should check with their home institution regarding the transfer of credits accumulated during the program.
