The Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Prof. Nada Moghaizel Nasr, Honorary Dean and Rector’s Delegate at USJ, as a member of the Ministerial Commission for Quality Assurance in Higher Education. Her appointment was made official through a decree issued by the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Mr. Abbas Halabi, on January 9, 2025.

The Ministerial Commission is responsible for “suggesting quality standards for higher education and developing a regulatory framework for the self-evaluation and institutionalization of private higher education institutions.”

To carry out its mission, the Commission will collaborate with the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) and UNESCO’s regional office in Beirut, drawing on their expertise and experience to support the success of its initiatives.

This appointment reaffirms USJ’s leading role in advancing academic excellence and enhancing the quality of higher education in Lebanon.
