Saint Joseph University Dubai is pleased to announce the launch of its latest publication, Shaping Tomorrow: UAE Recent Legal Developments, a 2024 release capturing pivotal discussions on current legal developments in the UAE.
This book is the fruit of a research project that brought together faculty members from various legal expertise who discussed multiple aspects of UAE laws, including Civil Procedural Laws, Environment and Sustainability, Green Bonds, Family Business, Arbitration, Comparative law, Maritime Laws and other subjects. It is also the fruit of a coordination between the School of Law at Saint Joseph University Dubai and the Center for Legal Studies in the Arab World (CEDROMA), affiliated with the School of Law and Political Sciences of Saint Joseph University of Beirut.
On the occasion of the launch of the publication, Professor Nisrine Abiad, director of research at USJ Dubai, stresses the role of the School of Law in discussing legal Ideas and in providing a foundation for a solid legal academic doctrine serving the overall development of the laws in the country it serves. While thanking Mohamed Abdulla Lawyers & Legal Consultants for funding this research project, Professor Abiad added that this publication, a testament to the transformative impact of the collaboration between genuine academia and the industry, is a significant milestone in nurturing the legal fields and the legal community of the United Arab Emirates.
