This event was a great opportunity to discuss among scholars and professionals several topics highlighting the importance of entrepreneurship in times of crisis such as the Interactive Effects Between Monetary Rewards and Social Recognition presented by Mrs. Josephine Abou Abdo – Co- founder of Station Nation; Scaling Social Enterprises: Embracing the Variety of Sustainable Business Models by Mr. Samer Sfeir – Social Entrepreneur; The Power of Individuals in Social Enterprises by Mr. Georges Ghafary, Social Entrepreneur; Governance Patterns in Social Enterprises by Mr. Constantin Salameh, consultant and founder of CSTouch Advisors; and Youth-Led Social Entrepreneurship by Mrs. Silvia Marchionne – Project Manager at Unimed.
The Social Entrepreneurship in Times of Crisis project is dedicated to developing human capital, promoting social entrepreneurial activities, and creating pathways to youth employment through strategic cooperation with diverse stakeholders. We aim to empower instructors-trainers and students, fostering innovative pedagogical approaches to support the growth of social entrepreneurship, micro-businesses, and early-stage start-ups in rural regions of Lebanon. Together, we are building a supportive entrepreneurial environment in our communities.
