Proud to share that our USJ Business School led a transformative SETC training on the Clare Street Campus, of Technological University of the Shannon (TUS). Social Entrepreneurship in Times of Crisis (SETC) is an Erasmus+ funded program gathering local and international partners in addition to the USJ Business school, leader of the project: Lebanese University, AZM University, Università Telematica Internazionale UNINETTUNO, Université La Sagesse, Technological University of the Shannon, and UNIMED - Mediterranean Universities Union. The sessions were designed to enhance the economic conditions in Lebanon’s northern, Bekaa, and southern regions. Instructor-trainers and students in higher education received comprehensive training and coaching as part of the SETC project, fostering a strong entrepreneurial spirit and culture. Participants are now equipped to share their newfound skills by engaging in community-building activities among vulnerable groups in Lebanon.
The training included insightful visits to social enterprises across Limerick city, such as Moyross Community Enterprise Centre Ltd., St. Munchin's Community Centre, Limerick City Build (Regen) Limited Training Academy, and PAUL Partnership Limerick, a multi-sectoral organization promoting social inclusion and enterprise in Limerick City.
Special thanks to our partners at Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) for their warm welcome and for hosting this event and to our colleagues Pr. May Merhej Sayegh and Dr. Rima Rouhana who perfectly represented our Business School.
