Two students from the School of Law - Dubai branch, Fatma Al Mesmar and Ghida Badreddine participated in a sustainability moot case organized, on an international level, by a prestigious multinational law firm, DLA Piper in conjunction with the UN Conference of the Parties (COP).
The moot case presented a challenging scenario that tested the participants' understanding of complex legal issues related to ESG principles, UNIDROIT principles, UN Global Compact, sustainability, international supply contracts, etc. Despite the intense competition, the students from Saint Joseph University Dubai demonstrated a high level of legal acumen, commitment to preparation, and effective teamwork.
Their participation was characterized by the diligence with which the team approached the case. The students meticulously researched the legal precedents, analyzed complex details and presented their arguments with clarity and precision. Their dedication to mastering the intricacies of the case reflected a deep commitment to legal excellence.
This experience serves as a stepping stone in the students’ legal journey, and the School of Law can take pride in their achievements in this moot case.
