The School of Law of Saint Joseph University Dubai jointly organised with Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) a panel discussion on the 3rd of October 2023 on the theme of “Arbitration and the rise of renewable energy disputes.”
Leading experts and legal practitioners in arbitration and renewable energy gathered at this event to address the evolving landscape of arbitration within the renewable energy sector at a time when Dubai is soon hosting COP 28 in the context of its strategic initiative to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
This panel discussion, sponsored by Al Tamimi & Company, was a prime opportunity for the legal community to rethink, reboot, and refocus on renewable energy and the solutions to the disputes it raises.
At the occasion of this event, Saint Joseph University Dubai and Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) announced their strategic partnership, formalized through a signed MOU. This partnership aims to establish a cooperative relationship to promote and enhance awareness and understanding of arbitration and to provide opportunities for training, workshops, and research on arbitration-related topics.
