The Chair of "Fondation Diane" for Education on Eco-citizenship and Sustainable Development in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund kickstarted on November 23rd 2021 the Gender- based violence workshop at the CIS campus.
This project aimed at training trainers on Gender Based Violence (GBV) to develop their knowledge as well as soft and hard skills.
As a continuation to this project, 4 from the participants who took the training became trainers themselves and provided training sessions to the civil society to raise awareness on Gender Equality.
The trainings took place in 4 different locations:
Training I – Trainer Dania Bek – In collaboration with SAWA – Zahlé.
Training II – Trainer Georgette El Gebayli – In collaboration with Nation Station – Achrafieh.
Training III - Trainer Melanie Nakad – In collaboration with the civil society.
Training IV - Trainer Mireille Hadchiti – In collaboration with Lebanese Red Cross – Zahlé.
Each training session consisted of 5 hours. The topics covered were:
-Gender Based Violence core components and principles.
-Causes and consequences of Gender Based Violence.
-Prevention of Gender Based Violence.
