The U.S. Embassy in Beirut is pleased to announce the 2023 TechWomen program, an initiative of the U.S. Department of State’s Educational and Cultural Affairs Bureau (ECA).
TechWomen promotes development in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) to enable women to reach their full potential. Approximately 110 professional women working in STEM fields from 21 countries in North Africa and the Middle East, Sub-Saharan Africa, and South and Central Asia will travel to the United States in September 2023, for an intensive exchange focused on promoting collaboration in science and technology.
Women should select one of six tracks: information technology, green technology, science, internet, biotechnology, or telecommunications when applying.
Applicants must be women with a minimum of two years of full-time, professional experience in STEM-related fields, and a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Current students cannot apply to this program.
The U.S. Department of State will cover the participants’ expenses including visa, airfare, lodging, meals, and medical insurance.
For more information on the 2023 TechWomen program, interested candidates can visit the US embassy website.
Applications should be completed and submitted online no later than January 13, 2023.
