The Academy of Medical Sciences (AMS) is pleased to announce that applications to the 14th round of the Daniel Turnberg Travel Fellowships are now open.
The Daniel Turnberg Travel Fellowship scheme aims to build research links and develop ideas for longer-term collaborations between the UK and the Middle East. This gives early-career biomedical and medical researchers the chance to meet leading researchers in their field, further their research experience, and learn new techniques.
These fellowships are for a duration of four to twelve weeks, and provide a funding envelope between £4,000 to £9,000 depending on length of stay, covering airfare and a subsistence allowance.
Eligible applicants will be biomedical graduates who can show a commitment to a career in research.
This opportunity is available to researchers from an eligible country in the Middle East (currently Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, and the Palestinian Territories) to visit a research institution of their choice in the UK, and for researchers in the UK to visit a research institution of their choice in the Middle East.
More details of eligibility can be found on the scheme webpage, and we encourage interested candidates who are uncertain of their suitability for the scheme to get in touch with the office to discuss their circumstances.
Deadline to apply : February 21, 2023 at 4.00 PM (GMT)
