Under the supervision of Dutch Professor Carl Rohde (Forecasting & Innovation Professor), our third-year Hospitality Management & Culinary Arts students participated in the worldwide Hospitality Coolhunt Project, where they attended 5 masterclasses and received 5 trend inspirations, after which they were guided to do an online “cool hunt”.
During their search, students look for the ‘signals/seeds’ within a given topic. These ‘signals/seeds’ are reviewed and commented on by the students in blogs which are provided with feedback and ratings by Carl.
This project has been deployed in countries like Brazil, Spain, The Netherlands, and Hong Kong and is now being deployed for the first time in Lebanon. The feedback from both students and professor was excellent and we look forward to more students benefiting from this unique exposure.
