On February 24, the second and third-year Marketing & Advertising students met Emile Attalah, Managing Director of FP7 McCann Beirut & Levant with more than 20 years of experience in the communication industry locally and in the region. An awarded strategist thinker and planner who participated as a guest speaker in Joelle Chebli’s Media Planning course - Students benefited from his 2 hours talk explaining the effect of the covid-19 pandemic on the industry, and gave his advice about the silver lining about the covid-19 and the communication field.
Mr. Attalah talked about the importance of sustainability and the green movement in brands strategies. He also, through real life and campaign examples, showed the students how COVID-19 has changed consumer behavior and established new business norms.
He encouraged the students to stay up to date with the global trends that will affect the marketing and communication strategies and for him the new era will all go into sustainability, technology and eco-friendliness.
