Bryan Youssef (3rd year) and Dr. Henry Farha, two FM students, under the mentorship of Dr. Hampig Raphael Kourie, participated in the international hackathon “Future Health Hackathon 2071”, organized by the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Health and Prevention, which gathered more than 100 teams and 350 participants from all over the world.
The USJ team managed to win 2nd place with an innovative project: the “MaTense” application which focuses on the early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer.
This project is sponsored by the Faculty of Medicine and the Vice-Rectorate for Research of USJ.
