Economics and Business Strategy

This course is based on a contemporary economic analysis of companies and their environments. It illustrates how emerging theories of the firm, which have been developed in response to the limitations of classical microeconomic theory, and game theory can explain the strategic decisions of a firm. It presents innovative approaches and emphasizes their practical applications to real-world business cases, offering valuable insights into corporate strategies. The aim of this course is to delve deeper into microeconomic models in relation to company strategy, to apply the principles of economic reasoning to corporate decision-making, and to master the integration of fundamental economic concepts in relation to strategic decisions made by companies.
