Domaine juridique (les sociétés) arabe-anglais

This course is designed to provide advanced instruction, supervised practice, and techniques for translating legal texts from Arabic into English. It gives a background of the field of banks and businesses pertaining to the legal domain and contributes to the development of competences in the translation of different legal texts. Through intensive interactive activities, the student not only gains a deep insight into the nature and process of translating legal documents but also develops the textual analysis techniques, expertise of language and control of terminology necessary for the production of professionally well-versed and accurate legal texts in English. This course familiarizes students with the content and the form of legal texts and enhance their command of grammar, syntax, and vocabulary through consistent translation practice.
