This teaching unit aims to help students better understand arbitration as a form of alternative dispute resolution and be able to translate arbitration texts correctly. We will work on arbitration awards in both French and English and earn the arbitration terminology. We consider developing an easiness for students to convey the legal meaning of the source text in the target text while respecting linguistic, and translation rules.
