This course aims to provide speech therapists an understanding of psychomotor therapy throughout the explanation of its definition, its fields of intervention, the clinical approach of a psychomotor therapist and finally the comprehension of his role within the paramedical team, in regards to other therapists. Furthermore, this teaching unit initiates the students to the psychomotor therapy domains of intervention and helps them understand more their implications in children’s learning outcomes. Finally, it allows students to understand and develop their knowledge regarding the child’s psychomotor development in order to better observe delays and factors influencing development.
