Developmental disorders are frequently encountered disorders in the daily practice of a speech therapist. This teaching unit aims at updating the knowledge of students with regards to developmental disorders especially in relation to their assessment and management. This teaching unit aims at making students capable of situating difficulties faced by their patient in their global neurodevelopment context. It also helps speech therapists communicate better with their colleagues as well as with the patient’s parents. The teaching unit focuses on research updates rather than on literature overviews.
