Evaluation of Peri-Implant Soft and Hard Tissue Health around Internal Hex and Conical Connection: A Comparative Clinical Study

Previous studies have demonstrated that conical connection implants exhibit significantly lower microgap dimensions and bacterial infiltration than internal hex implants. Additionally, screw loosening occurred less frequently in conical systems because of the enhanced frictional engagement and taper-lock mechanism. These findings support the notion that conical connections may offer improved long-term stability and peri-implant health over internal hex designs, especially in high-load or esthetically demanding cases. A comparative study will be conducted to evaluate the mechanical and biological performance of conical connection (CC) and internal hex connection (IHC) dental implants. The study will assess parameters such as marginal bone remodeling, soft tissue health around the implant, and keratinized tissue thickness and width.
