I am Dr. Nada SAKR, holding a PhD in Agriculture deeply passionate about food quality control, food processing, plant biology. Since 2006, I have had the privilege of teaching at several prestigious institutions in Lebanon, including Saint Joseph University, the Lebanese University, and Al-Kafaàt University. My teaching spans various disciplines, from plant biology to agro-food sciences and sustainable agriculture, with a special focus on environmentally friendly agricultural practices. Before my academic career, I worked as a Quality Controller at Société Industrielle SAFE_USJ_du Levant, ensuring strict quality standards for wheat and flour while overseeing all stages of production. Since 2010, I have also served as a Food Inspector at the Lebanese Ministry of Agriculture. In this role, I ensure compliance with food safety standards (GMP, GHP), supervise inspection teams, and contribute to drafting and revising licensing regulations for agro-food businesses. In parallel, I have conducted innovative research at the Lebanese Agricultural Research Institute as part of a project funded by UNDP. My work focused on conserving local almond varieties through in vitro and in vivo propagation techniques, contributing to the preservation of Lebanon’s agricultural heritage. I am also the author of several scientific publications on topics such as the quality of wheat under limiting environmental conditions, the rheological properties of Lebanese wheat genotypes, and micropropagation techniques for Lebanons ancient olive trees. With a career rich in professional and scientific experiences, I remain deeply committed to research and teaching, aiming to promote sustainable and innovative practices in the agricultural and agro-food sectors.
