The Sacred Music of Poulenc

The USJ Choir is thrilled to present: "The Sacred Music of Poulenc," highlighting the works of the renowned composer from the 20th century. The repertoire includes his exquisite sacred pieces: Stabat Mater, Gloria, and Litanies à la Vierge Noire, that Poulenc himself describes as “the best and most genuine part of myself.” Poulenc's musical style is characterized by its versatility, wit, and impeccable craftsmanship, making him a truly distinctive figure in history.

This concert marks the commencement of USJ’s 150th-anniversary concert series.

Join the USJ Choir for an evening of musical splendor, with the talented French Lebanese Soprano, Yara Kasti, accompanied by the Jeunesses Musicales du Liban Orchestra, under the baton of conductor Yasmina Sabbah.
